Bought
Lola and the Boy Next Door, by Stephanie Perkins
Oath Bound, by Rachel Vincent
Under the Dome, by Stephen King
I'm watching the UdD series at the moment and really enjoying it! But only from reading the first 20 or so pages of the book I've already realized that they changed a lot of things... I'll see which version I like better when I really dive into the book.
I ordered Lola from ebay because I really wanted the paperback with the old cover, and when I realized it wasn't happening I went to see where I could get the old hardback for cheap :P It shipped all the way from New Mexico to Switzerland... and it was still cheaper.
ebooks
The Runaway Queen, by Cassandra Clare and Maureen Johnson
Vampires, Scones, and Edmund Herondale, by Cassandra Clare and Sarah Rees Brennan
The Midnight Heir, by Cassandra Clare and Sarah Rees Brennan
Crewel, by Gennifer Albin
As you can see, I went on a Bane Chronicles reading spree...I've already read the three episodes and liked them better than the first one! Herondales <3 *ahem*
Anyway, what did you get in the past week?
YAAY Lola and The Boy Next Door. One of the best Contemporary books I've ever read. I want to watch the Under The Dome series as well but I don't know if I should read the book first. Hope you enjoy all your new books, especially those Cassandra Clare ones. Happy reading!

I still haven't ordered Lola for the same reason. I want the hardcover because of the couple on the cover. I think that's my all time favorite cover!
ReplyDeleteGreat Haul! Lola and the Boy Next Door is amazing. Unfortunately I've yet to read Anna and the French Kiss.
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading!

I loved Lola and Crewel, hope you do too! Great haul! ~Pam
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy Crewel! I've heard such good things about that one. And the Magnus Bane covers always freak me out with the giant hands and gross fingernails. But Clare is a genius :D
ReplyDeleteYou'll love Lola! I like the old covers better, but both mine are the new covers, which is ok as long as they match! And Oath Bound is the perfect conclusion to a perfect series! The only book I picked up this week is Eleanor and Park, which I've heard really good things about
ReplyDeleteThe new covers are pretty as well, but they are so different that I just wanted to get matching ones.
DeleteI've also heard great things about Eleanor and Park! I'll probably read it at some point even though I was rather '*shrug* about it when it first appeared.
Oh so you've already read Lola? I'm reading it right now and I am LOVING it! I hope that if you haven't, you will absolutely adore it:) I hear that Crewel is one of the best books out there. Every single one of my GR and blogging friends adores that book. Have a great weekend and enjoy your books, Carmen:)
