Know me Better: hated chores, and where I'd go if I had to board a plane this instant

Know me Better is a meme hosted by Kathy from I Am A Reader, Not A Writer. Every week she posts 5 questions from her author interview list that the participating bloggers then answer and link to.

This week's questions:

What was the last thing that made you cry?
What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
What is your favorite form of exercise?
What is your current desktop picture?
You just got a free plane ticket to anywhere. You have to depart right now. Where are you gonna go?

What was the last thing that made you cry?
Um... this is kinda embarrassing. A week ago, I made a stupid movement and somehow pinched a nerve in my shoulder. My mum then massaged my shoulders/back (it's always insanely tense) and somehow she pressed a spot that first made me feel like I had to throw up, then like I was going to faint (my legs wouldn't carry me when I tried to get up) and then made me break down sobbing (not in pain). It was very strange and disconcerting.

What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
Cleaning the bathroom.

What is your favorite form of exercise?
I'm not a very sportive person at all. I do crunches though, and I guess if I had to pick I'd go jogging or swimming. But I don't really work out or anything, I prefer dieting to keep my figure. I'd rather not do something (eat) than do something (sports).

What is your current desktop picture?
The cover of Fiona Paul's Venom. Love that picture! I'm probably gonna change it soon though, it's been over 3 months!

You just got a free plane ticket to anywhere. You have to depart right now. Where are you gonna go?
San Francisco or Tokyo :)

I love these questions! What do you guys think of them, and what are your answers?

  2. Japan is one of my dream locations, too. I at least want to experience it once. =)
I know what you mean about not sportive... I do crunches, too, and go swimming when I can manage. =) I love the water because then I can't sweat, which is bad for my skin condition.
And last thing that made you cry? Don't be emberrased, the same thing you discribed happened to me before, too -- more than once! But hateful it is...

    1. Yeah, the not really sweating thing is also one of the reasons I like swimming :) I haven't been in a long time though...
The weird thing about the crying was that I wasn't in pain. My mum massaged the tension out of that particular spot and it's like all the fight and emotional tension I also had going on just went out of me and I was a mess ^^'

  3. What a fun idea!
So sorry about your pain -- pinched nerves are excruciating! I'm not so sporty either and my desktop pic is my sweet doggie. Should be my kids, I guess :) I want to go to St. Petersburg, Russia. We'll see if I ever make it there!

    1. Oh, I'd like to go to Russia too one day! St. Petersburg and Moscow :) I'm no fan of their political system though, I must admit. I have an acquaintance who is Russian and the things I hear can be rather horrifying...

  4. I absolutely love the Venom cover too. I really love the masquerade mask covers, so I really love Michelle Madow's Remembrance as well. Just something about it.

Be careful when your Mom massages you next because I've heard of people getting paralysed because the masseuse from the shop hit the wrong nerve :(

    Have a great week!

  5. Oh I hate cleaning the bathrooms! It's like no matter how much you clean them, it's still gross haha

  6. Cleaning the bathroom is the worst *yuck* I absolutely ADORE Fiona Paul's Poison ♥ Oh and yeah I'm not big on working out either. I tend to snowshoe sometimes in the winter but like you, I prefer eating healthy to working out. It's always worked well enough :)

I hope your shoulder feels better by now!! *HUGS*

    1. The shoulder is thankfully fine again :) I've never snow-shoed! I guess I'd have to drive to the alps for there to be enough snow ;P I really should move more though... my body feels all rusty sometimes ^^'
Thanks for stopping by hun *huggles back* :)
