Hey guys :) Welcome to my stop of the Spooktacular Giveaway Hop, hosted by I Am a Reader, Not a Writer & The Diary of a Bookworm. There are about 500 blogs participating, so make sure to hop along with the linky at the bottom of this post.
I love Halloween! I don't get to do much because the event isn't really celebrated in Switzerland much, but I love all the pictures of costumes and decorations that show up on my twitter feed around this time from the Americans I'm following.
And of course, I love spooky books and movies. So let's get to the goodies ;)
There will be one winner who can pick one of the following books:
Click the covers to check the books out on goodreads. Those are all books I have either read and loved or heard awesome things about.
Rules:
- Open internationally as long as The Book Depository ships to you.
- One entry per person / household.
- Duplicate entries or any other type of cheating results in deletion of all your entries. I will check ALL of them before I pick a winner.
- You have to be at least 13. You have to be 18 to pick one of the following: Drawing Blood, Lost Souls, Halfway to the Grave. Those are NOT YA.
- The winner will be emailed and has 48 hours to respond before I pick someone new.
- The cover/edition of your pick may differ because of regional restrictions. I will order paperbacks if available (Ember will be kindle format, as I cannot order paperbacks from amazon.com and it's unavailable from TBD).
- I am not responsible for what happens to the book after I've ordered it for you.
Now have fun and enjoy the spooky season!

Spooky movies...I have no favs really...not that come to my mind right now...even though does Supernatural count?
I still need to borrow those from you... one day, I shall ransack your library haha :P
DeleteAnything Stephen King...The Shining is probably the scariest I've read!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.myparanormalbookreview.blogspot.com
The Shining was sooo creepy! I was more terrified by the book than by the movie! I really need to revisit my Stephen King books...
DeleteI would choose Ten or Alice in Zombieland. :) Scariest book I've read is definitely IT by Stephen King! Thank you for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteOMG OMG OMG!!! I SEE POPPY!!! Youaresoawesome!! LOL. I got 1st editions of the 2 you have listed but the winner should sooooooo pick one of those if it isnt me! I dont think much is scary but the most twisted book ever was definitely Exquisite Corpse!
ReplyDeleteOMG someone who knows Poppy!!!! :D I wish I could've been at one of her readings in the early 90s!
DeleteI haven't dared to read Exquisite Corpse yet... the cannibalism scared me ^^' But I think I'll have to pick it up at some point. I loved the Wormwood stories, too!
When it was described to me I put it off too but it was very eloquently written. I am a total fangirl when it comes to her and I am super excited you knew who she was!
DeleteOh and I even named my Rats Nothing and Zillah LOL
DeleteHaha, awesome names! I had a love-hate relationship with both Zillah and Nothing. I adored Christian. If/when I get a pet again I'll also name it after a character. Deciding who that's going to be will be tough though.
DeleteThat's just it, her writing is so wonderful! It always takes me a long time to read one of her stories because I get hung up in the beauty of her words. I feel like I must order one of her books right now >.< I want to re-read Drawing Blood very badly too. I loved Zach!
I have all her stuff. Even the chef stories I like cause of Ghost ;)
DeleteI didn't know Ghost featured in those o.O Is Steve in there too? I wasn't planning on getting those... not so keen on books revolving around food.
DeleteNot really my thing either but I love Ghost ;)

Hi, there, Carmen!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS AWESOME GIVEAWAY!!!!
Now, as for what book I'd like to win -- it's "Velveteen". That cover just pulls me right in, and the plot sure looks great, as well!
I'll be dressing up as Hermione Granger this year, just like I did last year! I have the Gryffindor robe, the tie, the scarf, and a magic wand! And...I've added Professor McGonagall's hat for good measure!!
My favorite spooky movie or book? Well, I really don't like the horror genre. I don't like feeling scared AT ALL. However, I ADORE paranormal romance, and my favorite books in this genre are the four books of The Twilight Saga!!
BTW, I'm participating in this giveaway hop, too, so come on over and check out my own giveaway! I think you'll LOVE the prize!! : )
