Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Okay so I've only just started with this one (finally!) and I'd rather not skip ahead and spoiler myself...
This is from Mallory's point of view, page 11 in the UK paperback (Harper Collins):
"That meant she was caught living among the witches, preparing to fight daimons with only a human's defenses. Sometimes, guiltily, she admitted to herself that this wasn't the life she wanted. A stray thought of Kaleb flitted through her mind, but she knew without asking her father that he'd never agree to her changing her training or workout schedules so she had time to date."
Talk about caught in-between without belong anywhere! I'm really intrigued by Mallory's lifestyle so far but I'm only on page 17 and things are still a bit confusing.
What are you reading and teasing us with this week? Link me up in the comments :)
